





Agribusiness Unit 2: Business Management
This unit is designed for 11 45-minute lectures with the following outcomes:
Students learn the purpose and importance of vision statements, mission statements, and goals and objectives to an organization and to personal development.
Students learn the roles of management in an organization.
Students can articulate the challenges of management in small businesses and agricultural organizations.
Students gain understanding of complexities of business ethics and processes for handling ethical dilemmas.
Students understand importance of and process for hiring employees.
Students gain awareness of legal framework in hiring process.
Students gain experience interviewing for jobs.
Students learn how to develop and ask interview questions.
Students investigate process for evaluating employee performance.
Students apply new concepts to business designed in a team setting.
